Jackie Shaffer, LMT

Jackie was born and raised in the Appalachian mountains of Virginia. She attended college immediately following high school, where she majored in Respiratory Therapy. She practiced respiratory therapy for over 16 years. She explored multiple facets of her profession including critical, subacute, and home care.

In 2015, Jackie decided to change career paths and chose Massage Therapy. She graduated from massage school in 2016 and began practicing as an LMT in Ohio. She recently moved to Anchorage from the lower 48 and is excited to be practicing here in Alaska.

Jackie enjoys continuing her education in different techniques and pathways in which to help her patients reach their optimal goals. She has participated in multiple trainings and seminars. She is trained in the Graston Technique as well as cupping and trigger point therapy. She loves assisting people in pain reduction and overall sense of wellbeing.

Jackie is an avid hockey fan! Outside of the office, she loves to travel, spend time with her dogs, and explore nature while kayaking, biking, and hiking.
